The Tuskegee Syphilis Study | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 141)
The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male was a study conducted between 1932 and 1972 by the United States Public Health Service and the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention on a group of nearly 400 African American men with syphilis.
The purpose of the study was to observe the effects of the disease when untreated, though by the end of the study, medical advancements meant it was entirely treatable.
The men were not informed of the nature of the experiment, and as a consequence, more than 100 them died.

The Corruption of Adam Air I Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 140)
Adam Air was a privately owned airline based in West Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia. It operated scheduled domestic services to over 20 cities and international services to Penang and Singapore.
Its main base was Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta. Large numbers of pilots joined the airline when it was founded in 2003, but most of them quit years later over safety concerns.
Prior to its demise, the company was in serious financial trouble, with the company's owner (Sandra Ang) having allegedly embezzled the company's money, with the financial losses from the embezzlement reportedly amounted to approximately US$210 million.

The Mysterious Case of Timothy Wiltsey | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 137)
Timothy Wiltsey was a 5-year-old boy from South Amboy, New Jersey, United States, whose mother, Michelle Lodzinski, told police that he went missing from a carnival in nearby Sayreville on May 25, 1991.
Almost 11 months later, his remains were discovered across the Raritan River in the marshlands of nearby Edison, near an office park where his mother had once worked.
Due to changes in his mother's account of how her son disappeared within a month of his disappearance, and her unemotional demeanour on the few occasions she spoke publicly about the case, she began to be seen as a suspect.

The Dark Story behind Margot Kidder | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 136)
Margaret Ruth Kidder was a Canadian–American actress and activist, who amassed several film and television credits in her career spanning five decades, including her best known portrayal of Lois Lane in the original Superman films (1978–1987).
She received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder in 1988, which she rejected at the time, and after many personal struggles, died on the 13th May 2018, due to an alcohol and drug overdose, which was later ruled a suicide.

Amanda Todd was a 15-year-old Canadian student and victim of cyberbullying who hanged herself at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
A Dutch-Turkish man, Aydin Coban, who was already imprisoned for sexual blackmail in the Netherlands, was extradited to Canada to face trial on charges of harassing and sexually extorting Todd before her suicide. In response to her death, then-Premier of British Columbia Christy Clark, made an online statement of condolence and suggested a national discussion on criminalizing cyberbullying.

The mutilation of "Snippy" the horse was the death and alleged dissection of a Colorado horse that was first widely-reported on October 5, 1967.
Mainstream experts concluded the death was the result of natural causes, though sensationalized press and unsubstantiated folklore questioned whether the death and mutilation might be linked to satanic cults, intelligence operations, or even flying saucers.
The skeletal remains are currently part of a UFO tourism attraction.

The Goiânia accident was a radioactive contamination accident that occurred on September 13, 1987, in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, after an unsecured radiotherapy source was stolen from an abandoned hospital site in the city.
It was subsequently handled by many people, resulting in four deaths, and according to Time magazine it has identified the accident as one of the world's "worst nuclear disasters."
